S1P Receptor EDG1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed to detect and measure relative levels of S1P Receptor EDG1 protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm and is provided in a 96-well microplate format with a dynamic range of more than 5000 cells. It is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples and is intended for research applications in the cardiovascular field.

The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which S1P Receptor EDG1 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences. The assay is suited to screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on S1P Receptor EDG1, and is intended for use with adherent cells.
