RSK1/2/3/4 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit enables detection and quantification of RSK1, RSK2, RSK3, and RSK4 levels in cell lysates, with reactivity against human and mouse samples. The colorimetric assay is read at 450 nm and is supplied in a 96-well microplate format designed for adherent cells, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells.

RSK proteins are described as key regulators of cell growth, proliferation and survival, and the kit allows researchers to assess the activity and expression levels of RSK1/2/3/4 in different cell types and conditions, including screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) and activators. Qualitative determination of RSK1/2/3/4 concentration is achieved by an indirect ELISA format: target proteins are captured by RSK1/2/3/4-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse a colour reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be normalised to cell amounts and plating differences adjusted. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months.
