Description

A colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the detection of RPS6KC1 levels in cell lysates. The kit uses a 96-well microplate format with colorimetric detection at 450 nm and is stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 Months. It offers a sensitive, specific, and reproducible assay with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and reactivity against Human and Mouse samples.

The kit employs a lysate-free, high-throughput indirect ELISA format. RPS6KC1 is captured by specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. The conjugated HRP enzyme catalyses a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control to normalise target absorbance values. Following the colorimetric measurement, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalised to cell amounts and adjusting for plating differences.

RPS6KC1 is a key protein kinase involved in cellular processes such as cell growth, proliferation, and survival, with dysregulation implicated in various diseases including cancer and neurological disorders. Researchers can use the kit to measure relative amounts of RPS6KC1 in cultured cells and to screen for effects that various treatments, inhibitors, or activators have on RPS6KC1 expression.
