Retinoic Acid Receptor alpha Transcription Factor Activity Assay

This DNA-binding ELISA from Assay Genie quantifies the DNA-binding activity of activated Retinoic Acid Receptor alpha (RARα) in nuclear and cell lysates. The microplate is pre-coated with a specific double-stranded oligonucleotide containing the RARα response element, allowing transcriptionally active RARα from your sample to bind. A detection antibody specific to RARα is then added, followed by a colorimetric substrate for signal development. The immunoassay is validated for use with human, mouse, and rat samples, with no significant cross-reactivity observed against unrelated nuclear receptor family members. Each kit provides sufficient reagents for 96 individual determinations, with a recommended sample load of approximately 10 µL nuclear extract per well.
