RelB Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie (AssayGenie) RelB Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the detection of RelB protein levels in cell lysates. The kit employs a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm in an indirect ELISA format: RelB-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

As a lysate-free, high-throughput, and sensitive assay for adherent cells, it can determine the relative amounts of RelB in cultured cells, including for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on RelB. The kit is reactive with human and mouse samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells, and is provided in a 96-well microplate format that can be stored at 4°C for up to 6 months.

A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values. Following the colorimetric measurement of HRP activity via substrate addition, a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell amounts and adjusting for plating differences.
