Rat Xaa-Pro dipeptidase (Pepd) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative detection of rat Xaa-Pro dipeptidase (PEPD), also referred to as Imidodipeptidase, Peptidase D, Proline dipeptidase, Prolidase and X-Pro dipeptidase. The colorimetric assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and recognises natural and recombinant rat Xaa-Pro dipeptidase.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.625–40 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.312 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 8.7%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions. Recovery averages 97% (range 91–103%) in serum and 99% (range 93–105%) in plasma. The target protein is a homodimer that splits dipeptides with a prolyl or hydroxyprolyl residue in the C-terminal position, playing an important role in collagen metabolism because of the high level of iminoacids in collagen.
