Rat Wolfram Syndrome Protein 1 (WFS1) ELISA Kit

Wolfram Syndrome Protein 1 (WFS1), also known as wolframin, is a transmembrane glycoprotein localized to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane where it regulates cellular calcium homeostasis and modulates ER stress signaling. This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie quantitatively measures endogenous rat WFS1 in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids, supporting research into Wolfram syndrome pathogenesis, beta-cell dysfunction, optic atrophy, and ER stress-related neurodegeneration. The assay is calibrated with recombinant rat WFS1 standards and uses a species-specific capture antibody showing no significant cross-reactivity with homologous rat proteins, with intra-assay precision typically below 10% CV. Reconstituted reagents should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and unopened kits are shipped refrigerated and stored at 4°C until the expiration date printed on the vial label.
