Rat VWF (Von Willebrand Factor) ELISA Kit (RTES00889)

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) in rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. VWF plays a central role in the blood clotting process, supporting hemostasis and thrombosis, and serves as a valuable biomarker for conditions such as von Willebrand disease and other clotting disorders.

Built on a Sandwich-ELISA format with a colorimetric detection method, the kit uses a microplate pre-coated with antibody specific to the target protein. Standards or samples bind to the immobilized antibody, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. After washing, the substrate solution is added to produce a blue color that turns yellow upon addition of the stop solution. Optical density is read at 450 nm ± 2 nm, with values directly proportional to target concentration and quantified against a standard curve. Total assay time is 3 h 30 min.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL, a detection range of 0.16-10 ng/mL, and a recovery range of 80%-120%. The kit recognizes Rat VWF in samples with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Rat VWF and analogues observed.
