Rat Vitronectin (VTN) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Rat Vitronectin (VTN) ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of vitronectin, a multifunctional glycoprotein circulating in plasma and deposited in the extracellular matrix. Vitronectin engages integrins (including αvβ3 and αvβ5) and the urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR), governing cell adhesion, spreading, migration, and regulation of terminal complement. Investigators in hepatic fibrosis, cardiovascular remodeling, diabetic nephropathy, wound healing, tumor invasion, and matrix biology routinely use vitronectin quantification as a biomarker of tissue damage and systemic stress responses.

This assay uses a pre-coated microplate with biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP conjugate. The kit includes standards, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent sufficient for one full microplate. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and stored frozen to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the sealed microplate is best kept refrigerated at 4 °C until first use. Typical sample volume per well is 50 µL, with intra-assay and inter-assay precision characterized by CV values below 10 percent. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic procedures.
