Rat VEGF-D ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric readout to quantify Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor D (VEGF-D). It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. VEGF-D is recognised as a key regulator of lymphangiogenesis, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, lymphedema and inflammatory disorders, supporting its use as a biomarker in cardiovascular research.

Performance figures reported by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Components are stored at 2-8°C and remain stable for 12 months. Spike-and-recovery testing in serum produced a range of 85-103% (average 94%), EDTA plasma 85-99% (average 91%), and heparin plasma 86-104% (average 94%). Linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions across these matrices, with results falling within 81-103%.

The workflow follows a standard sandwich sequence: equilibrate reagents and load standards, samples and blanks onto the pre-coated plate; add biotin-labelled detection antibody; incubate with HRP-Streptavidin; develop colour with TMB substrate in the dark; add stop solution and read absorbance at 450 nm.
