Rat Vasopressin/Antidiuretic Hormone ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this competitive ELISA kit (coated with antigen) enables quantitative measurement of vasopressin, also known as antidiuretic hormone (ADH), in rat-derived samples. The colorimetric assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, supporting research into water balance regulation and conditions such as diabetes insipidus and syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH).

The kit delivers a sensitivity of 0.094 pg/mL across a working range of 0.156-10 pg/mL. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions falls within 86-104%, 87-104% and 88-103% for serum; 86-105%, 85-103% and 87-96% for EDTA plasma; and 82-100%, 82-100% and 84-99% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 89-105% (average 94%) for serum, 96-103% (average 99%) for EDTA plasma, and 91-104% (average 96%) for heparin plasma. The protocol uses a biotin-labelled antibody binding step, TMB substrate colour development, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody (100X), HRP-streptavidin conjugate (100X), TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, 25X wash buffer and plate sealer. Storage is at 2-8°C in a sealed condition; cryopreservation is not advised.
