Rat Vanin 1 (VNN1) ELISA Kit

Quantify pantetheinase activity biomarkers in rodent research with this rat-specific enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Assay Genie. Vanin 1 (VNN1) is a GPI-anchored pantetheinase expressed on epithelial and myeloid cells, where it hydrolyzes pantetheine to generate cysteamine and pantothenic acid. Cysteamine, the thiol product of this reaction, has been implicated in oxidative stress responses, inflammatory cascades, and tissue-homing signaling. Investigators working with rat models of metabolic dysfunction, vascular injury, or chronic inflammation rely on the kit to measure circulating and tissue-level VNN1 protein concentrations.

The kit is configured for 96 assays in a microplate-based format with an absorbance-based readout. A recombinant Vanin 1 standard is supplied for generating a calibration curve across the working range of the assay. Compatible sample matrices span serum-derived fractions, plasma specimens, and tissue homogenates prepared from rat organs, as well as additional body fluid samples collected during rat research studies.
