The TNFRSF1A receptor, also called TNFR1 or p55, is a 55 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that binds TNF-α and activates NF-κB signaling and caspase-mediated apoptosis. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie is calibrated for rat specimens and supports detection across serum, EDTA plasma, tissue homogenates, and cell lysate matrices. Researchers studying sepsis, neuroinflammation, and TNF pathway pharmacology use the kit to quantify soluble TNFR1 as a circulating biomarker of immune activation. Each kit provides reagents for 96 individual determinations in a microplate format, including pre-coated wells, lyophilized standards, biotinylated detection antibody, and streptavidin-HRP conjugate for chromogenic readout. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and frozen; unopened kits remain shelf-stable when stored refrigerated at 4°C. The product is intended for research use only and supports western blot and immunohistochemistry follow-up experiments through cross-validation of TNFR1 expression levels.
