Rat Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNFa) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Rat TNFa ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of tumor necrosis factor alpha in rat blood-derived samples, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants. The assay has a detection range of 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity below 5 pg/mL, supporting cytokine profiling in inflammation and immunology research workflows.

Each 96-well microplate is pre-coated with a monoclonal capture antibody specific to rat TNFa, paired with a biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP conjugate. The protocol uses 50 uL of sample per well, with standards and unknowns typically run in duplicate. Validation studies confirm specificity for rat TNFa, with no significant cross-reactivity observed against related cytokines such as IL-1 beta, IL-6, and IFN-gamma.

Unopened kit components should be stored at 2-8°C, while reconstituted standards and detection antibody should be aliquoted and frozen at -20°C to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The kit is supplied for research use only and is not validated for clinical or diagnostic applications.
