Beyond its quantitative performance, this Assay Genie CLIA platform provides additional context for researchers studying tumor biology. TSGF is a collective designation for a group of growth factor-related polypeptides secreted by malignant cells during proliferation, including vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), and transforming growth factor-alpha, which together drive angiogenesis and stromal remodeling in solid tumor microenvironments. Because these factors are detectable in peripheral circulation at early stages of tumorigenesis, the assay has been adopted in preclinical studies of lung, hepatic, gastric, mammary, and colorectal carcinoma models, as well as for longitudinal monitoring of therapeutic response in xenograft and chemically induced rodent tumor systems. The chemiluminescent format uses an acridinium ester or luminol-based substrate reaction captured on a pre-coated 96-well microplate and quantified against a recombinant standard curve. Typical sample volume is 50-100 µL per well, and the complete protocol from plate setup to final luminescence read can be completed in approximately 2-3 hours when run at room temperature. For best results, serum or plasma aliquots should be stored frozen at -20 °C or below, thawed only once prior to analysis, and protected from light to preserve substrate integrity. All kit components are intended for in vitro research use only and should not be used for clinical diagnostic decisions.
