Rat Trypsin-1/PRSS1 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a sandwich ELISA for the quantitative detection of trypsin-1 (PRSS1) in rat samples. The kit is intended for research into the protein's role in protein digestion in the gastrointestinal tract, and into conditions linked to dysregulated trypsin-1 activity such as pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease.

The assay is a colorimetric sandwich ELISA using biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin (SABC) chemistry, validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Sensitivity is stated as 0.375 ng/mL with a measuring range of 0.625–40 ng/mL. Linearity in serum is reported between 88% and 105% across dilutions, and recovery in serum averages 94% (range 85–101%). Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with selected components stored at -20°C.
