Description

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody detection method to measure TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1) in rat samples. The assay is designed for the precise detection of TRPV1 levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and provides reliable, reproducible data on this protein involved in pain sensation and inflammatory responses.

The colorimetric assay has a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Kit components should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity for 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 86–101%, 84–101% and 84–100% for serum, 88–102%, 82–101% and 84–98% for EDTA plasma, and 91–100%, 82–89% and 82–96% for heparin plasma. Spiking recovery averages 93% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma, and 95% for heparin plasma. The workflow uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

TRPV1 is implicated in chronic pain, neuropathic pain and inflammation, making this kit useful for research into these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions.
