Rat Troponin T/TN-T ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this double antibody sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of troponin T (TN-T) in rat samples, using a colorimetric detection method with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development. Troponin T is described as a critical biomarker for detecting cardiac injury and assessing cardiac function in experimental models, and is widely studied in the context of cardiovascular diseases and myocardial infarction, providing insights into disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic interventions.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity was demonstrated across dilutions in serum (88–99% at 1:2, 86–104% at 1:4, 85–100% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (89–98%, 85–99%, 82–100%) and heparin plasma (81–98%, 85–97%, 81–95%) (n=5 per matrix). Mean recoveries were 93% in serum (range 85–104%), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 88–103%) and 97% in heparin plasma (range 91–104%).

The assay workflow comprises reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop step with immediate absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Kits should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months and are shipped at +4°C in a solid phase format.
