Rat Troponin I Type 2, Fast Skeletal (TNNI2) ELISA Kit

Built around the fast-twitch skeletal muscle isoform of troponin I, this in vitro immunoassay from Assay Genie quantifies TNNI2, the thin-filament regulatory protein that governs calcium-dependent actomyosin interaction during contraction in type II muscle fibers. Researchers use it to track circulating TNNI2 in rat models of skeletal muscle injury, exercise-induced muscle damage, neuromuscular disease research (including distal arthrogryposis type 1, in which TNNI2 mutations are implicated), and comparative studies of fast-twitch versus slow-twitch fiber physiology.

Detection is read on a standard microplate reader via a colorimetric readout, and the kit is supplied as 96 assays per box, providing enough throughput for a small cohort or a multi-condition time-course. Each kit includes a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, lyophilized standards, and the buffers needed to complete a full run.

For best performance, refrigerate the kit between uses and protect the streptavidin-HRP conjugate from light. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. This product is validated to measure TNNI2 in rat samples; cross-reactivity with mouse or human TNNI2 has not been established, so it should not be used for those species in studies where they are the primary subject.
