Rat Tripartite motif-containing protein 72 (Trim72) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Tripartite motif-containing protein 72 (Trim72), also known as Mitsugumin-53 or Mg53, in rat samples. The assay is intended for research use only and detects both natural and recombinant forms of the protein.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.082 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is listed at 5.6% and inter-assay CV at 7.7%. Sample recovery has been measured at an average of 88% (82-94%) for serum and 90% (84-96%) for plasma. The target protein has a molecular weight of 52,832 Da (UniProt A0JPQ4) and is a muscle-specific factor that plays a central role in cell membrane repair by nucleating the assembly of the repair machinery at injury sites, specifically binding phosphatidylserine and acting as an oxidation sensor that triggers disulfide bond formation and homooligomerization at damaged membrane regions.

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Trim72 is reported to localise to the cell membrane, sarcolemma and cytoplasmic vesicle membrane, where it forms disulfide-linked homooligomers that interact with DYSF and CAV3.
