Rat Translationally-controlled tumor protein (Tpt1) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for rat Translationally-controlled tumor protein (TPT1), with reactivity limited to rat samples. It uses a colorimetric detection method configured as a sandwich-format assay.

The kit is designed for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant rat TPT1. The reported detection range is 0.312-20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL.

TPT1, also referred to as histamine-releasing factor (HRF), Lens epithelial protein, TCTP, or Trt, is a cytoplasmic protein of 19,462 Da (UniProt P63029) involved in calcium binding and microtubule stabilization. It has been associated with cell proliferation in normal and tumoral tissues and with spermatogenesis, and is investigated as a biomarker within the Epigenetics research area.
