Rat Transforming Growth Factor Alpha (TGFa) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Rat TGFa ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of transforming growth factor alpha in rat serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants using a sandwich immunoassay format on a pre-coated 96-well microplate. The capture and detection antibodies show no significant cross-reactivity with homologous rat cytokines such as EGF, HB-EGF, amphiregulin, and betacellulin, ensuring target specificity in rodent samples. Each well uses 50 µL of sample or standard, and the kit contains reagents for one full microplate including precoated strips, biotinylated capture antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, wash buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and recombinant rat TGFa standards for curve generation. Reconstituted standards and unused strips should be stored at -20 °C and protected from light, while unopened kit components are stored refrigerated at 2-8 °C with a shelf life of up to 6 months. TGF-alpha is an EGF-family ligand that signals through the EGFR to drive epithelial proliferation, making this ELISA applicable to wound healing research, cancer biology studies, and investigations of mucosal or gastrointestinal pathology in rodent models.
