The TPPP protein (Tubulin Polymerization Promoting Protein), also known as p25, regulates microtubule assembly and has been strongly implicated in neurodegenerative conditions such as multiple system atrophy, Parkinson's disease, and certain tauopathies. Assay Genie's quantitative rat TPPP immunoassay enables researchers to measure endogenous protein levels in biological research samples from rodent models, supporting investigations of cytoskeletal dynamics, oligodendrocyte function, and neural disease mechanisms.

This complete kit is supplied in a 96 assays format and includes pre-coated microplate wells, capture and detection antibodies, standard calibrators, diluents, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent. The assay is intended for research use only and is performed in vitro using a standard plate reader. Reagents should be refrigerated on arrival and protected from light to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles when aliquoted properly. Each procedure follows a sequential incubation format and is typically completed within several hours.

Application areas include quantification of TPPP in rat brain, spinal cord, and peripheral tissue homogenates, as well as in conditioned media from cultured cells. The kit supports longitudinal studies tracking changes in TPPP expression following pharmacological treatment or genetic manipulation in rat models of neurodegeneration, including research into alpha-synuclein aggregation, glial cytoplasmic inclusion formation, and microtubule destabilization. The 96 assays configuration provides enough reagent for a full plate of standards, controls, and experimental replicates per run, and the kit ships with detailed protocols and lot-specific validation data. Researchers investigating p25-driven pathologies, tau hyperphosphorylation, or cytoskeletal remodeling will find this assay useful for generating quantitative expression data in rat systems.
