The Assay Genie rat TNFRSF1B ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 1B, also known as TNFR2 or p75. As the second principal receptor for TNF-alpha, TNFR2 signals through a cytoplasmic tail that activates NF-kappaB and supports cell survival, tissue regeneration, and lymphocyte costimulation, in contrast to the apoptosis-oriented TNFR1 pathway.

Soluble TNFR2, generated by ectodomain shedding, is actively investigated as a biomarker in rheumatoid arthritis, sepsis, neuroinflammation, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and renal allograft monitoring, where receptor levels can track disease activity and pharmacodynamic response. Each kit contains reagents for 96 assays in a microplate format, with a colorimetric endpoint read on a standard plate reader, and the components are supplied for research use only.
