This Assay Genie kit targets the 55 kDa type I TNF receptor (TNFR1, TNFRSF1A, CD120a), the principal cell-surface binder of TNF-α that drives NF-κB activation and pro-inflammatory caspase signaling. Researchers use this in vitro assay to quantify soluble TNFR1 shedding in rat models of arthritis, sepsis, neuroinflammation, and metabolic syndrome, where circulating TNFR1 levels correlate with disease severity and treatment response. Each microplate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific to the rat receptor extracellular domain, with calibrated standards in the typical nanogram-per-milliliter working range.
