Rat TNC/Tenascin C ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Tenascin-C in rat samples. The kit uses a double-antibody, colorimetric format and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 18.75 pg/mL with a measuring range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL, and unopened kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Performance is supported by linearity and spike-and-recovery data. In linearity testing at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8, serum (n=5) ranged 92-103%, 84-99% and 83-99%, EDTA plasma (n=5) ranged 87-104%, 82-96% and 82-98%, and heparin plasma (n=5) ranged 89-104%, 82-91% and 87-100%. Recovery testing showed serum (n=5) at 86-101% with an average of 92%, EDTA plasma (n=5) at 87-105% averaging 95%, and heparin plasma (n=5) at 89-104% averaging 98%.

Tenascin-C is an extracellular matrix protein involved in cell adhesion and migration, with expression linked to tissue development, wound healing, cancer, inflammation and fibrosis, making it a useful biomarker for related research.
