Rat TLR4 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in rat samples, including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants, with rat reactivity. The kit provides a tool for studying TLR4-related pathways in research applications. TLR4 is a key component of the innate immune system, recognising pathogen-associated molecular patterns and initiating inflammatory responses. Dysregulation of TLR4 signalling has been implicated in various diseases, including infections, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. The receptor cooperates with LY96 and CD14 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS), acting via MYD88, TIRAP and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response.

The kit uses a double-antibody Sandwich ELISA format and offers a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/ml with a working range of 0.313-20 ng/ml. Performance characteristics include intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%. Recovery has been demonstrated in serum (87-101%, average 95%), EDTA plasma (90-104%, average 97%) and UFH plasma (86-101%, average 94%), with linear dilution behaviour across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions in the same matrices.
