Rat Tissue Inhibitors Of Metalloproteinase 3 (TIMP3) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie rat TIMP3 immunoassay supports quantitative measurement of Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinase 3 across rat-derived sample matrices, advancing research into extracellular matrix homeostasis, fibrotic remodeling, and inflammatory signaling. TIMP3 is the only TIMP family member that anchors to the extracellular matrix through interactions with heparan sulfate proteoglycans, and it uniquely inhibits both matrix metalloproteinases and members of the ADAM and ADAMTS protease families that mediate cytokine and growth factor shedding.

Each kit provides reagents for 96 determinations and contains a pre-coated microplate, calibrated standards, detection reagent, and chromogenic substrate in individually sealed vials. The protocol accommodates multiple specimen types including cell culture supernatants and tissue homogenates, and yields an absorbance-based readout compatible with standard plate readers. Reagents should be stored refrigerated between uses to preserve standard curve integrity.
