Rat Tissue alpha -L-Fucosidase/FUCA1 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, this kit is designed for the quantitative detection of alpha-L-fucosidase (FUCA1) in rat-derived samples. The assay is reactive with rat and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Reported analytical performance includes a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was assessed at n=5 per matrix: serum 91-105%, 89-101%, 85-102%; EDTA plasma 83-96%, 86-99%, 86-96%; and heparin plasma 84-99%, 88-105%, 84-100%. Spike-recovery at n=5 averaged 94% in serum (range 85-103%), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 86-105%) and 100% in heparin plasma (range 90-104%).

Alpha-L-fucosidase, also known as FUCA1 (UniProt P17164), plays a role in the breakdown of complex carbohydrates and glycoproteins, and abnormal levels have been linked to metabolic disorders, lysosomal storage diseases and other health conditions. The kit is suited to research into FUCA1 function and regulation in rat tissues.
