Thy1, also known as CD90, is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored immunoglobulin superfamily glycoprotein routinely used as a phenotypic surface marker for rat mesenchymal stem cells, thymocytes, fibroblasts, and specific neuronal subpopulations, so reliable quantitation supports stem cell characterization, neurobiology studies, and investigations of fibrosis and tissue remodeling. All reagents required for the run — standards, capture and detection antibodies, wash buffer, and substrate — are supplied in a microplate layout that accommodates a full standard curve plus replicate sample wells in a single experiment, removing the need for prior enrichment of Thy1 from crude lysates.
