Rat Thromboxane B2/TXB2 ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise quantification of Thromboxane B2 (TXB2) in rat-derived samples, this colorimetric kit from Assay Genie uses a competitive ELISA format in which the plate is pre-coated with antigen. It supports research into the role of TXB2 as a biomarker associated with inflammation, blood clotting, and cardiovascular health, with relevance to conditions such as atherosclerosis, stroke, and thrombosis.

The assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, tissue homogenates, and other liquid samples, applied at a minimum 1:2 dilution. Standards or samples are co-incubated with a biotinylated antibody, followed by washing, TMB substrate development in the dark at 37°C, stop solution, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.938 pg/mL and a detection range of 1.563–100 pg/mL. Linearity and recovery data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions. The kit is stored sealed at 2–8°C and should not be cryopreserved.
