Carboxypeptidase B2 circulates in rat plasma as a zymogen whose thrombin-thrombomodulin-activated form, Thrombin Activatable Fibrinolysis Inhibitor (TAFI), attenuates fibrinolysis by trimming C-terminal lysine residues from partially degraded fibrin. The Assay Genie rat TAFI ELISA Kit enables quantitative colorimetric measurement of this antigen in rat plasma samples, supplied in a 96 assays format for in vitro research use only.
