Rat Thimet oligopeptidase (Thop1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit provides a colorimetric method for the quantitative detection of rat Thimet oligopeptidase (THOP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay is intended for research use only within the field of neurosciences.

Manufacturer specifications report a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 39.6pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.3% and inter-assay CV is 7.5%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (99-108%, 99-107%, 106-116% and 95-107% at dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16), EDTA plasma (103-111%, 104-114%, 100-112% and 104-113%) and heparin plasma (103-115%, 80-88%, 92-102% and 105-115%). Average recovery is 96% (range 90-102%) for serum and 98% (range 92-104%) for plasma. The assay recognises natural and recombinant rat Thimet oligopeptidase.

THOP1, also referred to as Endo-oligopeptidase A, Endopeptidase 24.15, PZ-peptidase and Soluble metallo-endopeptidase, is a metallopeptidase involved in the metabolism of neuropeptides under 20 amino acid residues long and in cytoplasmic peptide degradation. The UniProt accession is P24155, the molecular weight is 78,385 Da, and the protein localises to the cytoplasm. Kit components are stored at -20°C or 4°C, and the product is shipped at +4°C.
