Rat TGFB3/TGF-beta 3 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of rat TGFB3 (Transforming Growth Factor Beta-3). The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format and reports a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL with a measuring range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Components are intended to be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised for serum (range 87-105%, average 99%), EDTA plasma (range 85-103%, average 98%) and heparin plasma (range 86-102%, average 95%). Dilutional linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 was reported as 93-100%, 83-99% and 81-94% for serum, 89-103%, 84-97% and 81-100% for EDTA plasma, and 88-105%, 91-99% and 81-98% for heparin plasma. The procedure includes antigen capture at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.

TGFB3 is described as a regulator of cell growth, differentiation and development, with reported roles in immune response, wound healing and tissue repair, and associations with cancer, fibrosis and autoimmune disorders.
