Rat TGF beta ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA, double antibody immunoassay from Assay Genie is designed for the precise measurement of transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) levels in rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The assay uses colorimetric detection with a TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Validated performance includes a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) is 86-96% across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions; EDTA plasma (n=5) is 84-101%; heparin plasma (n=5) is 81-105%. Average recovery is 93% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 95% for heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

TGF-beta is a key cytokine that regulates cell growth, differentiation, and cell death, and is implicated in diseases such as cancer, fibrosis, and autoimmune disorders. The workflow includes reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, and TMB colour development for 10-20 minutes in the dark, followed by stop solution and absorbance reading.
