Rat TGF alpha/TGFa ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of transforming growth factor alpha (TGF-alpha, also referred to as TGFA) in rat samples. The assay is reactive with rat and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Built on a sandwich ELISA with a double antibody format, the kit delivers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. All reagents are intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Validated linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported for serum (87-103%, 83-100% and 85-99%), EDTA plasma (88-94%, 84-97% and 84-97%) and heparin plasma (91-105%, 90-101% and 86-95%), each tested in replicates of n=5. Spike-and-recovery performance was demonstrated in serum (range 87-104%, average 95%), EDTA plasma (range 89-104%, average 96%) and heparin plasma (range 86-99%, average 91%).

TGF-alpha is a key signalling molecule involved in cell growth, proliferation and differentiation, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer and inflammatory disorders.
