Rat TFR2 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of transferrin receptor 2 (TFR2) in rat samples. The kit is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reactivity confirmed for rat. It uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin (SABC) system with TMB substrate, with absorbance read after addition of stop solution.

Recovery ranges across sample types are 90-104% (serum, average 98%), 86-101% (EDTA plasma, average 93%), and 92-104% (heparin plasma, average 99%). Linearity data across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions show serum at 91-105%, 85-101%, 83-99%; EDTA plasma at 92-104%, 82-94%, 85-99%; and heparin plasma at 88-100%, 82-99%, 82-98%. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C and is stable for 12 months under those conditions.

Transferrin receptor 2 plays a critical role in iron metabolism, regulating iron absorption and homeostasis in the body. Dysregulation of TFR2 levels has been linked to various diseases, including anemia, hemochromatosis, and liver disorders, making the kit a useful tool for studying these conditions in rat models.
