Rat Testin (Tes) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Rat Testin (Tes) ELISA Kit is a Sandwich ELISA developed for the quantitative measurement of testin in rat serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. The assay operates with a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.3ng/mL.

Precision is supported by an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Dilutional linearity spans dilutions from 1:2 through 1:16, with serum (N=5) yielding 80-91%, 88-97%, 86-98%, and 104-114%; EDTA plasma (N=5) yielding 95-106%, 107-116%, 83-93%, and 98-107%; and heparin plasma (N=5) yielding 83-93%, 106-115%, 101-110%, and 83-94%. Mean recovery is 96% for serum (range 90-102%) and 98% for plasma (range 92-104%). The kit is specific for natural and recombinant rat testin, and is additionally validated for tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.

Testin is described as a scaffold protein implicated in cell adhesion, cell spreading, reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, and regulation of cell proliferation, and may act as a tumor suppressor. The product is intended for research use only.
