Tenascin C is a hexameric extracellular matrix glycoprotein expressed during embryonic development, active wound healing, and reactivated in pathological states including tissue fibrosis, chronic inflammation, and tumor stroma remodeling. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie enables researchers to measure native TNC protein concentrations in specimens collected from rat experimental models, supporting investigations in cardiovascular injury, neural regeneration, oncology, and connective tissue biology programs.

The complete microplate-based kit contains pre-coated capture wells, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, chromogenic substrate, wash buffer, dilution buffer, plate sealers, and a printed protocol insert sufficient to run a full 96-assay plate. Reconstituted standards and prepared specimens are added to coated wells where analyte binds the immobilized capture reagent; subsequent incubation with detection antibody and enzyme conjugate produces a measurable colorimetric signal whose intensity is proportional to TNC concentration in the well.

Samples collected from rat models, including serum fractions, plasma aliquots, tissue homogenates prepared from dissected organs, and a range of other specimen matrices, are compatible with the workflow, giving flexibility across in vivo pharmacology, toxicology, and disease-model studies. Standard cold-chain handling applies: equilibrate kit components to room temperature before each run, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of reconstituted standards and aliquoted specimens, and protect the chromogenic reagent from prolonged light exposure. The product is intended for research use only and is not validated for clinical diagnostic procedures.
