Rat TE (Telomerase) CLIA Kit (RTES00539)

From Assay Genie, this CLIA (chemiluminescence) immunoassay is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Telomerase (TE) concentrations in rat serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The kit applies the Sandwich CLIA principle: wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for Telomerase bind standards or samples, after which a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added in sequence. Free components are washed away and a substrate solution is applied; only wells containing Telomerase, the biotinylated detection antibody and the Avidin-HRP conjugate generate signal. Relative Light Unit (RLU) values are read on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyser and Telomerase concentration is calculated by comparing the RLU of the samples to the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 9.38 pg/mL and a detection range of 15.63 – 1000 pg/mL. It is stated to recognise Telomerase in samples with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Telomerase and analogues. Acceptable specimen types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and cell culture supernatant. For research use only.
