Rat TAU/MAPt ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPτ) in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is intended for research use only.

The kit delivers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL with a standard curve range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Storage is recommended at 2-8°C for 12 months. The workflow involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, and TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, followed by absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. A Bradford Reagent is included for total protein quantification to support sample normalization.

Reagents include a 100X concentrated biotin-labeled antibody, a 100X HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, and a 25X wash buffer, alongside a lyophilized standard and dismountable ELISA microplate. The protocol guidance includes cautions against mixing reagents from different batches, maintaining consistent incubation times, and using duplicate wells for both standards and samples. Validated linearity and recovery data for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma are documented in the product literature.
