Rat Tartrate-resistant Acid Phosphatase 5b ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the accurate measurement of Tartrate-Resistant Acid Phosphatase 5B (TRAP-5B) levels in rat samples. The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody detection method and is intended for research into bone metabolism, osteoclast activity, and bone resorption. TRAP-5B is an important enzyme in these processes, and abnormal levels have been linked to bone-related conditions such as osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis, making the kit a useful biomarker tool for studying bone remodelling and exploring potential treatment options.

The kit is reactive with rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported linearity ranges for serum (n=5) are 87–98% at 1:2, 93–105% at 1:4, and 86–101% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5), 84–100%, 83–98%, and 86–101% at the same dilutions; and for heparin plasma (n=5), 80–95%, 92–98%, and 81–98%. Average recovery is 95% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma, and 96% for heparin plasma. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
