Rat SYP (Synaptophysin) CLIA Kit (RTES00530)

A chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) kit from Assay Genie is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Rat SYP (Synaptophysin). The kit applies the Sandwich-CLIA principle, using a pre-coated microplate bearing an antibody specific to Rat SYP. Standards or samples are combined with the coated antibody, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. Only wells containing the target complex generate signal, measured as Relative Light Unit (RLU) values on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer; concentration is calculated by comparing sample RLU values to a standard curve.

Stated performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 75.00 pg/mL, a detection range of 125.00-8000 pg/mL, and a sample volume of 100 µL. The total assay time is 4.5 hours. Validated sample types are serum, plasma and other biological fluids. According to the manufacturer, the kit recognizes Rat SYP in samples with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Rat SYP and analogues, and both intra- and inter-assay CV are reported as less than 15%. Reported recovery ranges were 87-103% for serum (n=5, average 94%), 94-108% for EDTA plasma (n=5, average 101%), and 93-108% for cell culture media (n=5, average 100%).
