The Assay Genie Rat Syndecan-1 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit is built around a quantitative immunoassay for the CD138 heparan sulfate proteoglycan. Soluble syndecan-1 ectodomain is shed from plasma cells and epithelium and is measured in rat models of multiple myeloma, mucosal inflammation, acute lung injury, sepsis, and tissue remodeling research. The microplate format ships with pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, lyophilized recombinant rat syndecan-1 standards, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent.

Researchers typically load 50 uL of standard or unknown sample per well, incubate, wash, and read absorbance on a standard plate reader. Cell culture supernatant, plasma (EDTA or heparin), and serum samples are validated matrices.
