Rat Stromelysin-2 (Mmp10) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of rat Stromelysin-2 (MMP-10), recognising natural and recombinant rat Stromelysin-2. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. MMP-10 is also known as Matrix metalloproteinase-10, Transformation-associated protein 34A, Transin-2 and SL-2 (UniProt P07152), and its dysregulation has been implicated in inflammation, cancer metastasis and tissue fibrosis.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.061ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 4.6% and inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Recovery averages 113% (107-119%) in serum and 115% (109-120%) in plasma. Linearity is verified across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Detection is colorimetric.

MMP-10 can degrade fibronectin and gelatins of type I, III, IV and V, weakly degrade collagens III, IV and V, and activate procollagenase. The protein is secreted and localised to the extracellular space and extracellular matrix, with a molecular weight of 54,222 Da. For research use only.
