Rat SOX2 ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of SOX2 in rat samples, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format and is intended for research applications including stem cell biology, cancer biology, and studies of embryonic development and tissue regeneration. SOX2 is a key transcription factor essential for maintaining stem cell pluripotency and regulating cell fate decisions, making it a significant biomarker across diverse biological processes.

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Assay Genie reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Recovery values (n = 5 per matrix) are 89–105% with an average of 98% for serum, 95–103% with an average of 100% for EDTA plasma, and 86–104% with an average of 99% for heparin plasma. Reported linearity across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 is 90–99%, 84–99%, and 87–99% for serum; 87–102%, 86–100%, and 85–100% for EDTA plasma; and 85–105%, 82–100%, and 82–94% for heparin plasma.

The procedure comprises a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes at 37°C, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and immediate absorbance reading at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. SOX2 is also known by the synonyms ANOP3, MCOPS3, Sex Determining Region Y Box Protein 2, and SRY-related HMG-box gene 2.
