Rat Somatoliberin/GHRH ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody method from Assay Genie provides quantitative measurement of somatoliberin (GHRH) in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit has a reported sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL.

Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5), with serum ranging 82-100%, EDTA plasma 80-104%, and heparin plasma 87-103%. Recovery ranged 85-105% across the same matrices. The protocol uses a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, and TMB color development read at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Somatoliberin, also known as growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), regulates growth hormone release from the pituitary gland and influences metabolism, sleep, and immune function. Dysregulation of GHRH signaling has been implicated in growth disorders, obesity, and aging-related diseases, making the assay a useful tool for research in endocrinology, metabolism, and aging.
