The Assay Genie rat SLC30A4 ELISA kit measures ZnT4, a transmembrane zinc transporter belonging to the SLC30 solute carrier family. ZnT4 localizes to vesicular and plasma membranes, where it mediates zinc efflux and contributes to intracellular zinc homeostasis.

Researchers use this quantitative immunoassay to investigate zinc metabolism, neuronal zinc signaling, and mammary gland zinc secretion in rat models. Each microplate-format kit contains a pre-coated plate, biotinylated detection antibody, standards, and HRP substrate sufficient for 96 determinations.

Reagents should be refrigerated upon arrival, with the standard aliquoted and frozen to limit freeze-thaw cycles. For research use only, not intended for diagnostic procedures.
