Rat Sodium/Glucose Cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) ELISA Kit

Quantitative measurement of the renal glucose transporter SGLT2 (Sodium/Glucose Cotransporter 2) in rat samples is supported by this immunoassay kit from Assay Genie. SGLT2 is expressed predominantly in the kidney proximal tubule, where it mediates the majority of filtered glucose reabsorption. Altered transporter abundance is investigated in research models of type 2 diabetes, hyperglycemia, and diabetic nephropathy. The kit is intended for research use only.

Sample types accepted include tissue homogenates and cell lysates, such as those prepared from rat kidney cortex or from cultured cells expressing the transporter. Reagents are supplied in a vial-based format sufficient for 96 determinations, and the assay is read on a standard microplate reader. Each kit includes a pre-coated plate, detection antibody, standards, and buffer reagents needed to generate a standard curve for interpolating unknown sample concentrations.
