Rat SOD2/MnSOD ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise measurement of Superoxide Dismutase 2 (Manganese-Containing) levels in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit from Assay Genie supports research into oxidative stress and related disease pathways. SOD2 is a key antioxidant enzyme involved in cellular defense against free radical damage, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular conditions, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these pathological processes and developing potential therapeutic interventions.

The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, tissue homogenates, and other liquid samples, with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measurable range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Unopened reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Following the sandwich workflow with biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), and TMB substrate, the reaction is stopped and absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Validated performance includes linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions for serum (85-104%, 85-102%, 91-105%), EDTA plasma (82-100%, 87-97%, 87-101%), and heparin plasma (80-92%, 80-100%, 84-94%). Recovery data show serum at 86-99% (average 94%), EDTA plasma at 87-105% (average 96%), and heparin plasma at 85-103% (average 93%).
